March Updates Since we all last gathered for our Winter Concerts our Mira Mesa students have remained hard at work -- marching down a thin red line on Colorado Boulevard in the Rose Parade, finishing first semester exams, re-integrating winds and percussion, and starting work on a new set of music, including works by Felix Mendelssohn, Takashi Yoshimatsu, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Ola Gjielo, Bright Sheng, and Franz Josef Haydn. Below (in photos and captions) are a few updates from Marauder Way, including a number of dates you may want to save. ![]() Our last time together -- Winter Concerts (2021 Backstage at the Winter Concerts (2021 Walking the red line down Colorado Boulevard in the Rose Parade with our Mira Mesa High School Sapphire Sound Join us on at the San Diego Civic Theatre on Sunday, March 13th at 3PM for the San Diego Unified School District Honor Band & Orchestra Concert (lots of Mira Mesa musicians involved plus Mrs. Christensen will be conducting the Honor Band) ![]() On Monday, March 14th, at 8:00 PM, our students (thanks to a partnership with the La Jolla Music Society) will have the opportunity to attend the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields concert, featuring Joshua Bell at the San Diego Civic Theatre (UPDATED).
